I think there needs to be some sort of thing preschoolers and toddlers can wear that says "I picked out all my clothes and dressed myself today!" Maybe a jaunty hat or an applique. I guess a pin would be the most user-friendly. To be most effective, whatever it is would need to come in colors that have never come in nature and never will, except maybe in anglerfish. Think lime green and chartreuse and horrific shades of electric puce.
(Oh, since you asked: 1.) pink Valentine's Day pants with red, white and pink hearts; 2.) two shirts worn skater-style -- one a purple thermal shirt, one a yellow T-shirt with a tabby cat looking for a butterfly; and 3.) gray, purple, and blue argyle socks. Try wrapping your mind around that.

Frankly, Tori, with outfits like that, who needs the pin? I would think that the outfit itself is the badge of, "Guess who put this outfit together? Me!"
It makes me think of when Sydney was little and asked Momses (in a horror-struck way), "You aren't going to wear that are you?!?" Mom was a bit concerned until I pointed out that this was the child who had gone to a Braves game wearing pink shorts and orange & black Halloween socks.
Oh, I remember that outfit. (I think I was at that game, wasn't I?) She was quite proud of it.
Today spawn wore black yoga pants over pastel pink, blue, and green striped tights with a hot pink and gold long-sleeved shirt. It wasn't quite as eye-melting as yesterday but I think she's just getting things at random out of her drawers.
What, you pick your outfits in some other way?
Honestly, it probably doesn't look much different than if I did. Mom still complains about the early '90s grunge years, which was one of the few times in recorded history when I sometimes wore what was in fashion.
I did not realize that your 90s fashion choices were still a topic. This is what you get for not being a complete brat as a child---my stories largely have to do with my extended brat stage.
Oh, yes, I heard about the plaid flannel skirt and black knee socks just last week :).
This is Victoria, by the way -- I'm just on Phil's computer.
