Goodbye, Farewell......
I have finally divested myself of my final vestigial connection to quizbowl --- I'm no longer a member of TRASH, having decided to leave just before this year's regionals.
A friend of mine asked me if I was feeling upset or melancholy about that, and I have to say, I don't, not in the slightest. It's not that I feel any kind of antagonism towards quizbowl, but I was pretty much done with it when I graduated from college and viewed question writing more like any other writing job that I was involved with at the time (since I was freelancing full-time the first couple years I was writing for TRASH). And I haven't played or had the desire to play in quite a while. So it's just time, and my ongoing health issues sealed the deal.
In other news, my daughter was pretending to cook "shampoo polenta" yesterday. W00t.

Well, as it happens, I've had my eye on going to the Barcelona exhibit at the Cleveland Museum --- it looks fabulous. So that might work nicely!
